1. Pike Place Market
Okay, so I've wanted to visit this delightful mecca of wonderfullness (I make up words when I'm excited) since I first heard about it years ago. I finally did and they had a wide variety of things. Like:
Pike Place Fish. They're famous for one simple reason - they toss the fish from the display to the person standing near the scale every time it is ordered.
Pappardelle's Pasta. They sell a wide variety of pastas, oils, sauces, etc. I didn't buy any while we were there and have been regretting it ever since. Luckily, they have an online store so you might see some of their pastas popping up on here soon. :)
Tons and tons of fresh fruit and vegetables. I could do all my grocery shopping at Pike Place and die a happy lady.
Fresh ice cream! Need I say more? They have tons of interesting flavors like balsalmic strawberry, salted caramel (tried it - loved it!), rosemary lemon, ginger, pomegranate curry sorbet, etc. It's a shame they don't have an online store as well...ice cream mails well, right?
3. The Alibi Room.
Remember that weird rant I gave last weekend about truffle oil? This place is what created my new passion. I must buy truffle oil, pronto. Have them put it on your pizza instead of marinara sauce and you'll also die a happy person. Their pizza is crazy good, even without the truffle oil...but leaving it off would be ridiculous. Just sayin'.
Anyhow, those are my three favorite food places we visited. If you're ever in Seattle, go check them out!
