Recipe - FAIL!

My camera is being rebellious and refusing to work.

Actually I think it just needs a new battery.

I hope.

In the meantime, I thought I would "keep it real" and share a recent FAIL of mine.

Grilled Salmon Packets

Looks promising, huh?

I decided to try grilling salmon but was afraid it would stick to the grill so I wrapped each portion in foil along with some butter, seasoning and lemon wedges.

Still promising, right?

It ended up tasting just so-so. The fish was soggy from the combination of butter and steam being trapped inside. It was also pretty bland because I didn't use enough salt and pepper.

Gosh darn it!


  1. My mom used to do salmon packets. If nothing else, I have to give props to her cooking. She always put raw carrots and broccoli (which I don't think I ever spell right) in with the salmon. It absorbed the moisture so the salmon wasn't soggy. It was great over rice. Hmm now I'm craving it!

  3. I julienne peppers, carrots, pea pods, and green onions and make a bed for the fish, top with some fat free italian dressing and bake or grill. Instead of using a packet I will do the same but in a baking dish, it is absolutely amazing.
