Hey Y'all!

Sorry I've been neglecting the recipe blogging lately. We moved over the weekend so I've been spending the last few days cleaning, organizing, unpacking, etc. And I've officially decided that we have too much junk. Except not really. I'm pretty good at getting rid of stuff we don't use. It just all starts to seem like junk when you're packing and unpacking it all.

Anyhooo! I just wanted to let you know that I'm planning on getting back to sharing recipes with you tomorrow. Hopefully I will have found my camera cord by then. :)

  1. Tonight I was going to make cornbread to go with fresh lima beans but we didn't have any cornmeal. We did, however, have masa flour. So I used it with chopped jalapenos, mexican corn, grated cheese and buttermilk. It made a dense, moist, pudding like bread. Everyone loved it except me. But tomorrow I'm going to slice the bread and toast it in the oven until crisp. That sounds good, right? I'll let you know how it turns out.

  2. I'm such a crisp texture person. The toasted polenta-type bread was awesome. The richness and sweetness of the corn with the crunchy texture. It was right down my alley.
