Tuesday's Kitchen Tip - Warm Up Your Eggs!


So sometimes when you're baking, say a cheesecake, the recipe will call for room temperature eggs. This always vexes me because I never read completely through a recipe before trying to make it and then I usually don't have the patience to let the eggs sit on the counter for hours.

And so, here are some options: 


1. Rinse the eggs under pretty warm-hot water for a couple minutes; rotating it around while holding under the water.



2. Or, to be more environmentally-friendly, I set the eggs in a bowl of warm water - for 5 or so minutes.

Either way, this will bring them up to room temperature quickly so you can get on with your baking!
