I just waived that off though because:
#1 - He's 13.
#2 - I was on a sugar high from my hot chocolate.
#3 - He's a punk.
But, for all you fellow hot chocolate lovers out there - I've got a super tasty recipe for ya! I leave powdered milk out of the recipe because it really makes your cocoa mix taste watered down. I also add chocolate chips in to enrich the hot chocolate even further.
Spiced Dark Chocolate Mix
Yields a quart of dry mix
2 c. dark cocoa
2 c. white sugar
1 c. powdered hazelnut creamer (or substitute your favorite flavor)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. chocolate chips
Combine all ingredients together and store in a sealed container.
To make hot chocolate: Scoop 2-3 tbsp. of dry mix into a mug. Pour 8 oz of hot milk on top. Allow to sit for a minute, stir and enjoy!
Top with whipped cream and cinnamon. nutmeg, cocoa powder or chopped chocolate.
