Snack Time!

I give up. I've tried to be patient and wait for my new camera. But I can't handle it.

I like blogging. It's therapeutic.

And it keeps me motivated to try new things.

I've been making too many dinners of tacos and spaghetti lately. Don't tell anyone.

But I did make Jamie Oliver's Chicken in Milk last night. It sounds weird but it was fantastical, especially for baked chicken.

Anyhow, yesterday I went to the grocery store to get some lemons for aforementioned Chicken in Milk. And while I was there, I noticed they had some large yummy strawberries on sale. And I was hungry. But after I grabbed the strawberries I remembered that I don't really like eating strawberries plain (weirdo! I know). So I decided to make a dip for them.

But then I got to thinking how many calories there are in traditional fruit dips. Our Best Bites has a fantastic Caramel Toffee Dip but at a whopping 3020 calories a batch, it seems to be healthier to not eat fruit.

So I decided to come up with a healthier version!

Healthy Fruit Dip
Serves 4

1 single serving container of Chobani Greek vanilla yogurt
1-2 tbsp. honey
Pinch cinnamon
1/4 c. toffee pieces

Fruit to dip: Apple slices, strawberries, melon, bananas, pears, pineapple, raspberries, etc.

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Chill for at least an hour. Serve with fruit and enjoy!

The greek yogurt gives it not only a great creamy quality but also gives it a slight tangy taste which pairs perfectly with the sweetness of fruit. Also, at only 560 calories a batch, or 140 calories a person, you don't have to feel guilty about this snack!
