Our menu this week has tons of cozy comfort foods...probably because it was 70 yesterday and now we're getting a bunch of thick heavy snow. I've been having the hardest time trying to explain to my daughter that it's now Spring because in books and on Nick Jr. she keeps hearing about how Spring is supposed to be filled with rain and flowers...not snow and brown grass.
Menu Plan April 4 - 8
Monday - Cereal and fruit
My favorite salad (with baby spinach)
Brie and Spinach Chicken with steamed peas and sweet potato fries
Tuesday - Greek Yogurt and Coconut Pecan Granola Parfait
Moroccan Lamb and Beef Stew with Couscous - I can't wait to try this!
Wednesday - Coconut Mango Banana Smoothies
Hummus, corn chips, carrots and fruit
Lasagna and salad
Thursday - Scrambled Eggs, turkey bacon and Fruit
Grilled Chicken Quesadillas
Steak Kebabs and grilled asparagus
Friday - Loaded Potato Frittata and eggs
Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese
Chicken Thai Pizza
I talked to my doctor on Friday and he said that I should wait yet another week before doing any exercises that use your abs. Which makes me sad because all my favorite workout programs use your abs at some point. So here's my random exercise plan:
Monday and Wednesday - weights for arms and shoulders
Tuesday and Thursday - jog 2 miles
Friday - 10 lb slimdown lower body (this is murder - I love the free workouts on my tv's OnDemand programming!)
