What I'm Cooking for the 4th

Today I'm gearing up for the festivities that come with the 4th of July. I'm putting up some red, white and blue decor items, doing a few crafts with my big girl and getting a few ingredients we need to make our food.  I thought I would share with y'all what I'm making - if you have a blog and want to link to some fun 4th of July food, decor or party idea posts you have, go ahead and do so in the comments. I can't wait to check it all out!

Griddle Cakes. While I try to avoid artificial dyes and preservatives, every so often you gotta splurge and live a little so I'm going to be dying some of our pancakes red, white and blue. I did it last year and Lillian thought I was the coolest mom. Ever.

Grilled corn with parsley butter. Except, I'm going to use cilantro instead of parsley.

Southwestern Avocado Quinoa Salad. This is good stuff.

Burgers with onions. I'll probably make a fun aioli to go with them. So I can feel classy while I eat a burger. :)

Homemade cherry pie for dessert with a little ice cream on top. Yum!

And of course we'll be drinking the All-Natural red, white and blue Lemonade recipe I shared yesterday.
