Come What May...

Six years ago today a pretty life-changing event happened; I married my best friend. We were crazy young, got married less than six weeks after getting engaged, some people had doubts, but the last six years have been the best in my life and I feel so thankful and blessed that God brought Khale into my life.

Click play here and you can listen to our first dance wedding song while you scroll through a barrage of wedding photos.

Waiting for the ceremony to begin.

How I really felt.

Sometimes we are cheesy and goofy.

My Dad and I.

Being pronounced "man and wife" and being totally okay with that new status.

We got married before Pinterest so the only thing I DIY-ed was my veil. :)

The wedding party. Minus our other flower girl, Chana, who got too emotional at the thought of me getting married and leaving her.

I love that girl.

I also love these ladies.

The guys. Khale likes to tease his friend on the far right for his pose in this photo.

First dance.

::happy sigh::

We got married on a Tuesday evening. The Saturday before our wedding was my grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary so we all (Khale included) loaded up in my parents 15 passenger van and took at road trip up to Minnesota. Except we never got there.

In Wisconsin we were in a terrible accident with a semi. My little brother, Aaron, got hurt the worst. I was sitting next to him and I'll never forget looking over and seeing him motionless with blood streaming down his face. Scary stuff.

Now he's taller than me and one of the funniest people I know. And a pretty good cook. But he's still a punk. :)

  1. I love this. Being friends with friends who love and are committed to each other is just about the best thing. Happy Anniversary.

I love feedback from y'all and try my best to respond to as many questions as possible.
