Have you entered the totally sweet giveaway from Core Bamboo yet? If not, click here to do so.

This week I started something new. My baby munchkin, Harper, likes to wake up between 6-6:30 every morning. Now, I'm not in any way shape or form, a morning person. I'm just not. So for the last seven months, I've been getting up with her (except on Sundays! That's my sleep-in day...if you can call sleeping until 8:30 "sleeping in"), slipping on some yoga pants and drowsily trudging downstairs.

It's nothing short of a miracle that I've never fallen down the stairs while carrying her. I'm exceptionally clumsy.

But once safely making it downstairs, Harper and I usually hang out on the couch and I chug some serious coffee while going back and forth between playing with the her and reading blogs.

This week I've started getting dressed and doing my makeup before we head downstairs. The purpose of which is two-fold:

1) I get to wake up enough that we won't fall down the stairs. Hopefully. See the clumsy comment above.

2) I'm much happier when I start the day off feeling good about myself - and looking cute goes a long way towards accomplishing that little ego boost.

We've still kept the couch snuggling, playtime, coffee drinking and blog reading part of our mornings. During these times I've discovered and reconnected with some truly fantastic blogs. I thought I'd share them with you today:

Dinner: A Love Story - this blog has recently been turned into a book (I'm hoping to read it soon!) and it will make you want to sit down and really appreciate family dinners like you never have before.

The Small Things Blog - Kate has the best hair tips and videos, ever. While hair is her specialty, she also blogs about home decor, fashion, life and her love of Target.

Young House Love - If you've never visited this popular blog, you toats should. Sherry and John are some of the best home DIY-ers out there and their blog about remodeling their old house is inspiring...sometimes to the point of convincing me that I'm handy with power tools (even though I've never even turned one on in my life).

Good Life (for less) - a fashion blog written by a mom of two kids that lives in Michigan, making her take on fashion totally realistic, easy and affordable. Who says moms can't look hot? Crazy people, that's who. Like Clinton Kelly from What Not to Wear always says "wear something cute and don't take any crap!"
